What drives us:
Be Here Now is our mantra! This translates to being present to the here and now and the beauty and wonder of simply existing. It means being fully present and attentive to the person with whom we are working; body, mind, and spirit. In short, providing all of our services with mindfulness. It is this emphasis on mindfulness that sets us apart.
We specialize in complex injuries, sore/tight/weak/poorly functioning muscles/connective tissue, joint problems, chronic pain that has been difficult to treat, headaches, general aches and pains, and whole person wellness. We love to work towards specific goals for increased performance in sport, dance, music, work, yoga, or play!
If you have a history of trauma (physical, mental, or emotional), we offer competent, non-judgemental support should powerful emotions arise or emotional release occur during session and have a network of trusted medical and mental healthcare professionals we can refer you to for more support. This same network will be called upon should we suspect any undiagnosed medical conditions, detect abnormalities that should be checked by a physician, if another treatment approach would be complimentary to achieving your goals, or if another treatment approach would be all-together more appropriate than what we have to offer. We also have an ever growing awareness of other complimentary and alternative health providers that we always keep in mind as we work with our clients and their changing needs.
As a client at Be Here Now Bodywork, you will be:
treated with dignity, respect, honesty, and authenticity
valued as a unique individual with a life story that is worth hearing
given the space to share, confront, or withhold your story at your discretion--except, of course, your relevant medical information
encouraged to trust your body and soul to do the healing that you came for and that we facilitate
bolstered in your pursuit of hope, gratitude, and joy
oh, and you will be given the exceptional bodywork you deserve!
